Nanosolar

The award winning Nanosolar Co. has come up with a breakthrough solar coating, produced at an 80 % reduced cost from prior years, which makes them a serious contender for consumer dollars.

Founded in 2002, Nanosolar is building the world’s largest solar cell factory in California and the world’s largest panel-assembly factory near Berlin, Germany.

Way to go, Nano!!!

You GO, Mercurio!

Neighbors of Michael Mercurio in a New Jersey Shore town are complaining about his 35-foot windmill that generates power which he adds to the grid! He’s also got a bunch of solar panels on the roof and people are saying it’s an eyesore. Looking at the pictures, I’d say the real eyesore is all those telephone poles and wires running through the area. The windmill looks perfectly fine to me. I can’t believe his neighbors are suing.

I’ll keep my eyes on this case and let you know what happens…

Ed Begley, Jr. Lives Green

If you haven’t seen the show Living With Ed on HGTV, you simply must watch it. Ed rocks as far as living green. He’s got the solar panels on the roof, the hybrid cars, and the whole recycling routine. Check out the show and the website to see what I mean. I just wish his wife Rachelle wouldn’t get so annoyed about the situation, but I guess without some conflict, the show wouldn’t be as great as it is.

Solar Panel Installation

The Home Depot through their Home Services division will come out and install a solar panel system at your house. I am looking into having this done as my electric bills have been through the roof lately and my house is not that big. My goal is to get enough electricity generated that I will have surplus electricity to sell back to the power company. THEN we’ll see who holds the power.
